Being so close to the water’s edge, the sound of waves lapping the shore accentuates your dining experience. Serving an international cuisine, as well as delicious regional dishes, a simple meal at Hispaniola is likely to become a happy memory. High chairs are available for babies.

The INDIGO BEACH LOUNGE RESTAURANT

A la carte adults-only ocean-front restaurant for an original and exclusive team-building experience. In a charming waterside location with a wonderful view over the lagoon, this restaurant, bar and lounge had a total makeover this winter and is the ideal venue for relaxing gourmet moments. You can have late breakfast, a light lunch by the water, or get a tasty takeaway to eat on the beach. You can also dine in an idyllic setting with table service (booking required). Enjoy local specialties, fish and sea food in a quiet ambience – adults only, from 18 years old. As the night goes on the restaurant transforms into a nightclub where you can dance the night away under the stars. The bar is open all day, for drinks and refreshments a stone’s throw from the water.

The various bars within this resort offer refreshments and a quick bite during open hours(varies by venue). Our mixologists and serving staff are happy to take care of everything while you relax and enjoy your vacation.

CIELO BAR

Located on the first floor of the main building, perfectly situated opposite the pool, Cielo has wonderful charm – from the elegant outdoor sofas and cushions, to the quaintly frescoed palm trees adorning the bar façade. Enjoy in your surroundings, sipping cocktails with sea views over the pool.

THE INDIGO BEACH LOUNGE BAR

On one of the island’s finest beaches in the shade of the coconut palms, this bar has a touch of the exotic and a festive note, with its spacious dance floor, and terrace with a commanding view of the sea. An ideal spot for a refreshing pause in the daytime or to learn to dance the Bachata and the Merengue. At night the stars shine bright between the coconut trees. The bar also serves light snacks.

HIBISCUS BAR & LOUNGE

This adults-only bar provides the perfect Zen atmosphere to enjoy our peaceful holiday ambience while relaxing poolside. Enjoy healthy smoothies, teas and light snacks while blissfully soaking in the sun. Located in the Zen Oasis adults-only section of the Punta Cana resort.

Discovery

Explore new cultures, open up to new worlds. Each Resort is a starting point from which to explore the wonderful sights each country has to offer.

Buggy ride and ziplining (1/2 day)

Excursion recommended by our Discovery centre. 15 minutes from the Resort, at the heart of Cape Cana, drive the family in a 4×4 buggy to visit the surrounding area. On the way to Cabo San Rafeal, you’ll admire the shapes etched by time into the Farallon Rock, on the cliff face on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. You’ll end the excursion by ziplining down the cliff. You’ll be required to show your driving licence.

Crayfish cruise

Departing from the Club Med beach, we’ll sail through the turquoise waters of the lagoon along the coast of Tortuga Bay past the fabulous millionnaires’ villas. We’ll stop off in the shallow natural pool at Juanillo to enjoy drinks before getting back on board for grilled crayfish prepared by our chef. Time for a little dance session – bachata and merengue – before setting off back to Punta Cana after the most fabulous day!

Dolphin Adventure (1/2 day)

Be prepared to “”take a dolphin by the hand”” and let him take you for a ride, just like all children dream of doing. He might even jump right over you! Discover the power and speed of these amazing animals, as well as their gentle kindness! Minimum age 8. Participants must be confident swimmers.

The Main Pool

This fresh water swimming pool is located in the heart of the Resort between the bar and the beach, and equipped with teak deckchairs, parasols and showers.

Zen Pool

Oversized lagoon pool with one side dedicated to lounging and the other to swimming laps, as well as a spacious Jacuzzi and extensive sundeck with private relaxation cabanas and in-water chaise lounges.

Getting to the Resort

For customers who have not purchased the Transfer package. You can book transfer to the Resort, at extra cost. We come and pick you up at the airport on arrival, and take you to the Resort. At the end of your holiday we take you back to the airport. May be pre-booked, subject to availability and terms of sale.

The car hire company represented at the Resort is Rio Rent Car, but it has has no desks at the airports. Cars can be rented in the Resort, but must be returned to the Resort.

Transfer to/from Punta Cana airport* The price given corresponds to private transfer for all members of your party. You can book this service with your main holiday booking, or later on, by going onto your Customer Space. Can be booked up to two days before the start of your holiday. Transfer from Punta Cana airport to the Resort takes around 10 minutes.

Local transport

The Resort has Car rental with Rio Rent Car, which has no desks at the airports. You can rent a car at Club Med but must return it to Club Med.

Passports and visas

A valid passport is essential when you travel abroad. A full 10-year passport is required for holidays to all countries featured on our website. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date with one blank visa page. Make sure your passport is valid and check with the embassy or the consulate of your destination country if you need a visa for your chosen destination prior to travel. It is vital that the name given when booking your holiday (printed on the ticket and itinerary) is exactly the same as written on your passport. Any child, however old, must have his/her own passport.

Currency: the Dominican Pesos

Club Med Pass® payment card. This card enables you to put on your account all your purchases made anywhere within the Resort during your stay. The card will be issued against a 250 Euro deposit (pre-authorisation by Visa, Club Med Amex, Amex or Mastercard).

Mosquitos can transmit certain viral or parasitic diseases, so the use of tropical mosquito repellents for the skin and clothing is recommended.

Climate

In the middle of the Caribbean Sea, between the equator and the tropic of Cancer, Hispaniola Island (the eastern part of which is the Dominican Republic) has a tropical climate tempered by the alizé trade winds.
